Today is the fourteenth anniversary of my first meeting with Schroedinger. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long. Every year, the days seem to fly by at an ever increasing speed. Is that just part of growing old? I used to think so, but now I think it’s because I’m enjoying them more. I think it is boredom and depression that slows things down.
Two years after Schroedinger, Sandy came along and things got even and ever better. Schroedinger is a big part of our lives. He’s always with us, just like a family member, which he most certainly is. We talk. He always listens. Sometimes he complies, sometimes he ignores us and sometimes he bites me, but never Sandy.
Like a child, he requires and demands much, but he always gives more than he receives. In his own feline way, he constantly assures us of his love. We feel grateful and happy that he shares his life with us and blessed that we can share ours with him and each other.
